If you or anyone you know is interested in private swimming lessons, let me know. We can pick a time and meet at the SAC pool. I have 5 years of teaching experience at all age and experience levels, including adult lessons. I usually make $30 per hour-long lesson, but I know college students are poor, so I'd take $20. Yeah, that still sounds like a lot of money, but it only takes one lesson to learn the basics, and then you can practice on your own for free, and maybe in a week or a few weeks, schedule another lesson to check your progress and learn more. It's much cheaper than paying tuition prices for swim class. Swimming is one of the most valuable skills you can have, not only for safety, but for fitness. Swimming is a full-body aerobic workout. It tones your muscles and does wonders for your lung capacity, which helps any athlete. You can call me at 774-5188 if you are interested. ~<3~ Sarah ;)

I know this is an old post, but are you still giving swim lessons? Or if not, anyone else out there giving adult swim lessons? I never learned, in kindergarten/first grade during swim class, i was so affraid of the water i never left the side of the pool. But now i think i'm over that and would love to learn before its too late. Also... just to help me overcome my phobia of drowning... how trained are you? do you have like a red cross lifeguard certificate type thing? is there a certified lifeguard at the sac pool? I think i would feel safest with 1 instructor and at least one additional lifeguard, because I really really don't want to die drowning...

Storm I know what its like to not be able to swim. Heck I lived in a state park almost my whole life and still can't swim. Yea I could walk out to the end of the swimming area. I don't really care to learn how, but it does suck to get an F in a gym exam because you can't swim and had to have one of the other guys help you to the edge of the pool.
