lookin for a newer system for a friend of mine, for about 150-300. doesnt have to be anything awesome. recommended cpu 450 or faster, 128 ram or more, 10 gb HD, CDR-W, and decent sound card. if anyone has a system like that, that they want to get rid of message me.

Yes, I have a couple here, when can you stop by and look at them? I live on Pickard road past the Casino.

what do you have, and what would you be willing to take for them.

i dont know for sure if it will go through, my friend is extremely indecisive. he isnt interested in a gaming computer or power computer or anything, just something that doesnt suck. he was thinkin about gettin the base dell for 450 and i told him i could build him a new one for 350 minimum, hes also pretty cheap/poor. but anything is better than the one he has now, its like a 5 year old system, with a p2 233, and i dont even know about the rest.

Bring it over and I'll see what upgrades it can accept, he might be able to make it good for around $100.

its back home, and i think he just wants to get a different system, plus i dont think the board will take anything bigger than p2 333 ( i think thats how high they went) and he wants a bit faster than that, the system now is pretty damn shitty.
plus if it was just a simple ram/cpu upgrade i could handle that, but it pretty much requires a new system altogether. newer/better board, drives etc

I'll be taking a used high end system to Computer Consignments some time this week.

That high end system is in Computer Consignments right now. It does things no computer is allowed to do, for instance you can record DVD to VHS and remove the encription simultaneously:)
If you want a burner, it comes with burner software, I'll put one in for $40.

the thing is my friend is cheap, and is trying to save all the money he possibly can. so it doesnt look like he will be buying much of anything for a while. i would buy it and just give it to him, (god knows i owe him at least a couple hundred) but i need to save as much money as possible too.
try buying one from the CMU auction, i think they are on the 25th of each month
cheap decent stuff
