I like Bush because:

- He portrays himself well because he sounds strong and confident.
- I like his stance on gay marriage.
- I like his stance on firearms.

I don't like Bush because:

- While he's in office, other countries hate us.
- He's got us so committed to Iraq, that we are stuck there while we're getting murdered everyday.
- He's crappy when it comes to environmental issue.
- His tax plan blows.
- His adament support of the Patriot Act scares me.

I like Kerry because:

- He comes off as professional and much more intellectual than Bush.
- I like his position on stem cell research.
- I like his ideas for rebuilding our weathered relations with other nations.
- I like his plans for education, taxes, and healthcare.

I don't like Kerry because:

- He seems to me like he would be a weaker figure than Bush in the White House.
- I don't support some of his stances on issues (see Bush).
- I think the cost of living would increase under Kerry.

So my solution as it sits right now is to NOT VOTE. Unless I get heavily swayed either way, that will continue to be my position. Let me know how you guys feel.

I think you should (like I am going to) watch the debates to come...maybe they will help you decide. I think you should definitely vote...but it's smart that you want to actually vote for the right person for you

The hardball people said Kerry won, I'm not sure which direction they lean to. I watched it and I didn't really see a clear loser, which is good since I assumed Kerry would get his ass handed to him.

Steve, if you don't vote, you lose the right to bitch about the winner...

Now that is a loaded question, Jim.

That is just absurd...

Steve: If you were watching the debates or listening (which I was done for an hour) you can tell when one of the guys was stumped and didn't know what to say. Such examples start off with "uh" for a second, which is rather unprofessional. And guess who said Uh? Bush Jr. And he was leaning against the podium, which concerned me because I don't want a president who says "uhh and leans against a podium when debating"

Next debate, look at their body language.

Kerry DEFINITELY didn't seem weaker during the debate. He was firm, answered promptly, and never backed down or seemed lost by Bush's responses. Bush, on the other hand, seems bewildered at times.
And LOST.

I kinda wish they would like freakishly merge into a single candidate. That would make my decision a lot easier. Actually, I would love it if McCain ran again. I would vote for him most certainly.

As for me losing my right to complain if I don't vote, I don't believe that is fair. I could still vote for the person I want and if they win, there would be things I would bitch about. If Kerry won, I would bitch because he supports gay marriage, gun bans, etc. However, if Bush wins, I will bitch because he wants to send me to Iraq and take more taxes. Either way I'm gonna complain....

Deciding factor for me is how we look to the rest of the world right now, and I think Kerry will help our public image.
