I'm just curious on student's political affiliation on campus... seems to be a popular topic, lately, and I'm just curious :)
I voted democrat, but I told a lot of independent beliefs as well

I would like to call myself an independent, seeing as I vote for the party that gives the best "deal" so to speak. But most of the times I have voted I have seen myself drifting over to the republican side.

Conservative, yet not towing the Republican party line.
Eh, I am a little of both. If I like the other canadiate then I am gonna vote for him. But in the last election I voted Republican cause Gore sounded like a wuss. :D

Republican - rather than getting into an ideology conversation here - we can save that for another thread.

The Daily Reality Check is, in particular, a great resource.
I am a Republican but I remain open-minded, but as Matt said I will save the debates and what-not for another time, don't wanna bore or anger to many people here : )

My views would classify me as republican, for the most part, however, I will vote for whoever seems like the best candidate.
hardcore republican and conservative.
you bloody republicans, democrates, independents and others. When will you learn: "Abortion for some and mini american flags for others". (I hope someone can get this reference)

I believe the quote came from a simpsons episode where the aliens took over the bodies of clinton and dole.

It's a poll, ladies and germs. Why so many posts stating party affiliation when that is the poll question?

I figured I would since others did - and I think it's interesting to know who else out there shares your ideology/political party.
As for the Republicans out there, we have a College Republican social meeting this Friday at Riverwood Lanes at 9pm. Just a relaxing evening - so if you're interested drop on by. Any questions either message me or just email cmucr2001@yahoo.com

Okay, so I have to take a Midol? Man, I'm not the one throwing an exclamation point at the end of every sentence. Or, for that matter, trying to start fights on the board. You're weird. Stop addressing me in your posts. I don't want to hear it anymore.
Andy
Can I address you in my posts? Or is that forbidden too?

Nice to see the republicans once again rule :)
Who said Republicans rule? Politics are always subjective. When will they be objective?

I am liberal. I am not moving to Canada. I am here to stay.
I watched "Real Time with Bill Maher" the other day and I liked how D.L. Hugley said this about conservatives on abortion:
"You(conservatives) want the baby to be born, so when it gets older you can kill by sending it to war or giving it the chair."
Amen D.L.

The whole concept to "Political Affiliation" is riddiculous and frankly i find it so contradicting to the whole point of democracy...
which, to the definition of, does not exist. The United States of America is a republic... not a democracy.
otherwise we would not rely on "electoral votes" and such to elect our leaders but would instead use "popular vote" as in then every ones vote would indeed count.
EDIT: However i would have to say, to remain to the purpose of this thread, that i vote towards third parties depending on their platforms and ideas... never for democrats or republicans as they both do nothing but try to boost their parties power for the next election.
democracies do not have representatives... republics do. other then that they are the same.

in terms of current political definitions, i would have to say i am a far left-ing radical bleeding heart nut job. to me the dems. are fecking nazi's and the repub's are satan's whores. lol
i feel so all alone in my political reality, *sniff, sniff*
actually though, i have my own political thought and manifesto that is as radical a departure from contemporary political thought as marx's treatise was when he published it. :p

BTW, Jag, i think this thread would be a good one for a sticky :p
