Since I don't really do a whole lot on thanksgiving (excpet go to my mom's bf's and I hate his family) I would have to say... RELAX. I do a whole lot of nothing and enjoy every minute of it. I might do HW, read, take a bath, ect. Its like a day for me without anyone to bug me (the family is off doing other things). I can't wait... only like 24 days to go!

I eat a big turkey dinner and hang out with the fam, although I can't pick both

there should be a choice on the poll that it's all about the stuffing, cause i don't care that much for turkey, but MAN i love my stuffing. well actually it's my biological mother's stuffing, but since i haven't talked to her in about 3 years or more, i had my sister smuggle the recipe, and i made it for the first time last year and it turned out almost just like hers! i was so happy cause that was the only thing i missed about my bio mom! her stuffing! so yes i do nothing really, might go to my dad's house, but i don't really have a great time or anything, what i can't wait for is to have a family and start traditions of my own, like have the whole family start decorating the house for christmas, or going somewhere special, maybe start traditions with my sisters...i look forward to that. so maybe family will become more imp in the future, but for now, it's all about the stuffing. num num :)

Glad to see you already have some practice in thieving arts. You know we are gonna need it :sneaky:
as for the family and starting traditions I know what you mean. I want to start my own too. I loved it back when my family used to but anymore the g-ma always plans dumb crap on the same day we would always have them, so its hard now

I love this time of the year. All of my favorite holidays happen in rapid succession. Halloween, birthday, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year. I'm such a fall/winter person. I love the leaves and colors and I can't get enough of snow (except for driving.)

My favorite part of Thanksgiving is the wonderful food. I've got a sweet spot for turkey and I love stuffing. Rolls and corn and mashed potatoes and... :alert: I need to get Muse's mashed potato recipe.

I made it secret just so Lynn can't get it. :sneaky: I've made mashed potatoes a hundred times without bothering to hide what I'm doing, but now I have to just to foil my nemesis.

Really for Thanksgiving, I just like not having school, that's all. You'll think i'm a caustic spoilsport but I dont like turkey (I'm basically a vegetarian) and i'm not too fond of my own family either. And arrrghhhhhh all the commercialism and greed that comes with the holiday season! I can definitely do without. I don't need a 'special day' to prompt me to be thankful for stuff.

My favourite thanksgiving memory was being a kid in the UK and celebrating the bloody religious prudes leaving the island and taking their stupid beliefs with them!!

You're really trying too hard with this 'English' thing of yours.
