i am considering drinking alone, since i bought some tequila and a lemon last night and i want to use the lemon before it goes bad, so i figure why not?

due to the fact that i'm not yet 21, i never drink alone. but in a few short months when the birthday arrives, i'm sure I will occasionally to relax.

plus alcohol really just makes me sleepy, not too drunk (it takes a lot) so if I have insomnia, i know to turn to the bottle. :)

hmmm, i don't really drink to disinhibit myself....or do i? cause i usually drink around other people, and usually only at clubs, where at clubs, if there's dancing, i don't need a disinhibitor, cause i love to dance no matter what! but even then, i might not drink, even if the people i am with are drinking. i only drink sometimes...i don't really know why, cause if i only really drink at a club, with other people, there would be no reason to need a disinhibitor, especially since, if i do have a group to hang out with (which is usually never the case, since the onyl group i really went out with is back in TC, unless i am with my sister), i am already pretty uninhibited with them...i don't know.

i think i will do one more shot...but i am NOT drunk, just so it's known.....

sure! actually, i think TCW as a whole is a good place. there may be some people i don't get along with, sure, but that's life. but TCW has come to be the only real place i get some interaction with people, and it's nice :) i'm not a hermit, mind you, but i don't really find myself in social situations too often, where i can meet others. so TCW is a great place :D

one thing ive learned from my times of drinking... walking is a bad idea!

although one of my best memories is from when I had just gotten back from active duty and was drunk walking home and I got stopped by a trooper and he was giving me the whole "your in trouble" thing for being drunk and disorderly just because i was staggering down mission singing at the top of my lungs... well i was so drunk i dropped my wallet so he picked it up for me to get ym ID and i dont carry my drivers license (it stays in the car) so he pulled my military id.... and just like that... BAM!

"let me give you a ride home soldier... dont worry about the ticket..." of course i was drunk.... so i accepted the ride... and he noticed me staring at the switch and with a "*sigh*" said "Go ahead... let em rip" and so i got to flick on the lights/siren on the way to my house :lol:

but in retrospect walking drunk is bad! :lol:

my ex bfriend wanted to get into the military but kept failing the test, i think the physical test or maybe the written, i don't remember. but he tried every branch of the military, and finally got into the army. but he was messed up. he was coming in from a life off the streets, drug use, no idea what to do with himself, he thought the army would straighten him out, but he ended up getting out, i don't know if it was honorable or dishonorable, but i'd bet DIS.

yeah a lot of kids like that join up... specially into combat units as they require the lowest ASVAB score (written test), some wind up being great soldiers but most fail to comply with the military lifestyle/mindset

the army standard for physical and written testing is pretty easy... if he truly wanted in he could of gotten in, just might of had to do a little work for it :(

I never really had an apprecation for wine until I started going to France. It's all about pairing wine with food at first. Then... when you become a wino like myself... you won't even need the food lol. Seriously though, in France a bottle of wine is cheaper than a coke. I've found a lot of new drinkers (mainly women??) prefer the sweeter whites. Try a risling or a sauv blanc... but not a $5 bottle.

And Arbor Mist and Boonesfarm don't count... :p

The biggest reasons people abuse substance and develop addictions is because of boredom, availability, and curiosity. That's why "drinking alone" is a symptom and warning sign of an addiction to alcohol. Of course, that doesn't mean a person has one either. Some people are fine drinking alone occasionally and in moderation. Just be careful about using it to alleviate boredom:: if my ex was around she'd probably tell you how often I drank just to pass the boring time, and I don't need to elaborate about the world of trouble it got me in.

i am contemplating drinking again tonight, to get rid of the tequila. usually when i do end up drinking, i like to get rid of it within a few days...and i wanted to buy the smallest bottle of tequila possible, but Kroger only had the next step up. and although it might not turn out as well as it did last night, at least it's something to do! and it's such a nice day so far! you know what i want to do tonight? run through sprinklers or something. i want to go outisde at night (haven't been outside at night in ages, what with my going to bed so early). maybe i'll go for a walk tonight, that is, if i don't drink.

and for guy, yeah that drink actually does look tasty, but i usually don't drink drinks like that because i have to KEEP drinking it, rather than "down the hatch" and it's done. i like to get it over with, cause i can taste the alcohol in any drink, even if it is covered up with chocolate :), and i don't like the taste of alcohol. that's why it's tequila for me, although the sh*t's nasty to drink, it does it's job! now, there was one drink i drank a couple times, (juicy juice punch, mixed with captain morgan's parrot pay, kind of coconuty), but it didn't get me drunk enough, cause i would end up wanting to put more juicy juice in than parrot pay!
